VOLVO XC60 MODEL

VOLVO XC60 MODEL

Volvo XC60 is a luxurious compact SUV produced since 2008, although this car resembles more of a crossover between a wagon and an SUV. The XC60 belongs to Volvo's 60 series vehicles along with the S60, S60 Cross Country, V60, and V60 Cross Country. The XC60 concept was first introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, featuring a glass roof, new-style grilles, "Toro" style front headlights (as named by Volvo representatives), a slanted front window, and hook-shaped rear lights. These new design features gradually made their way into the entire range of models. The XC60 concept also introduced a new gear-shift mechanism, an electric trunk lid, and 20-inch wheels.

Volvo has now released the second generation of the XC60 model and has had two facelifts.

VOLVO XC60 MODEL REVIEW BY GENERATIONS

Volvo XC60 I (2009-2017)

As the demand for small crossovers grew rapidly, Volvo decided to introduce its own model, and in 2008, the Volvo XC60 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show, becoming the best-selling Volvo model.

The first generation Volvo XC60 is attractive and comfortable. This model was mostly based on the Ford Mondeo. Inside the car, there is a cozy Scandinavian design and plenty of storage space.

Although this crossover is not very large, there is enough room for three adults in the back, and child seats are also available. Comfort is an area where the first generation Volvo XC60 excelled: the car handles uneven roads well, the driver's seat is high, visibility is good, the seats are comfortable, and there is excellent sound insulation, providing a very good driving experience.

In May 2009, a 2.0-liter diesel engine, oriented towards fuel efficiency, was added to the engine options. From 2010, there were two more 2.0-liter diesel engine options, which were complemented by a new 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine in 2011.
