Jaguar XF is a luxurious mid-size sports sedan of British make that first appeared in 2007. Prior to the introduction of the first-generation Jaguar XF, if one desired to purchase a high-end automobile, the eyes automatically turned to the Germans. However, this changed with the Jaguar XF, which redefined the legendary British brand "Jaguar Cars". According to the automotive magazine "What Car?", this Jaguar is equivalent to a Mercedes in terms of sophistication, a BMW in terms of driving dynamics, and an Audi in terms of interior design. Due to its characteristics, in 2008, this model became the magazine's Car of the Year.
Jaguar has now released the second generation of the XF model. Both generations have had one facelift.
The technical specifications of Jaguar XF may vary depending on the car's modifications. The table below provides an overview of the technical data for different Jaguar XF models.
If you have encountered any of the above-mentioned or other Jaguar XF problems, Bauto has all the replacement parts and components you need. To ensure a smooth repair process and maintain all of the car's operational characteristics, we recommend choosing only original parts. Jaguar XF X250 (2008-2011)
Before the introduction of the first generation XF model, the fate of the Jaguar brand hung in the balance. In 2008, Ford sold the brand to "Tata Motors" and the XF became a farewell gift. As it turns out, the gift was excellent.
The design of this model was the beginning of a new direction for Jaguar. The Jaguar XF is a midsize sedan, but designer Ian Callum had a different idea - to make the XF look more like a four-door coupe.
This decision really paid off as the new Jaguar model achieved the lowest aerodynamic coefficient it had ever had - 0.29. The front headlights of the Jaguar XF X250 are unusual, with round bulbs inserted into the middle of elongated headlight sets. The design of the chrome mesh radiator grilles is a legacy of older Jaguar models, but the distinctive feature of this Jaguar is the round, sharp-edged bumper with rectangular lower grilles.
Inside the Jaguar, there is a real revolution in interior and technology. Here, touch-sensitive lighting switches, swiveling ventilation openings, and glove compartments are integrated. The gear lever on the central console automatically rises when the engine is started. Another change from the usual Jaguar salon is the light blue lighting of the instrument panel, switches, and main control panel.
Various Ford-made engines were mounted under the Jaguar XF hood. Initially, only one diesel and two petrol engines were available, but later on, the range was expanded to include all-wheel drive and more powerful engines.

Jaguar XF X250 facelift (2011-2015)
The changes in the facelift introduced in 2011 were inspired by the Jaguar C-XF concept car: front and rear lights were replaced, the interior was improved, and adaptive cruise control was added.
Under the hood, a four-cylinder, 187 hp, 2.2l diesel engine was introduced, which, together with a new eight-speed automatic gearbox and "Stop-Start" technology, uses fuel significantly more efficiently (emitting 149 g/km of CO2 and consuming 5.40 l/100 km).
After the success of the first Jaguar XF, the second generation of this model was soon introduced. Although its appearance remained almost unchanged, the car received even more attention.
The second generation of the Jaguar XF was built on a completely new platform, which extended the XF wheelbase by 55 mm, while shortening the front by 66 mm, thereby reducing the overall length of the car.
Due to the longer wheelbase, there is now more legroom in the back of the car, and with the platform change, the weight of the car is evenly distributed, making the vehicle easier to handle.
Inside the car, there is an entertainment and information system featuring a 10.2-inch touchscreen and "Dual View" technology, which allows the driver to see the navigation system while the passenger watches a movie. To achieve better quality not only in video but also in sound, an 825 W "Meridian" system with 17 speakers is installed, making it hard to leave the car.
The new Jaguar model also features adaptive suspension, which monitors body (100k/sec) and wheel (500k/sec) movements. For better traction, XF can also be fitted with an all-wheel drive system designed for V6 engines. It has an 8-speed automatic and manual transmission. It is said to be quieter. With the second-generation Jaguar XF, a manual transmission option also became available, which was not possible with the older model.

Jaguar XF X260 facelift (2021–present)
In 2021, the updated XF model was introduced with a front-end addition of LED headlights and Jaguar's distinctive J-shaped daytime running lights. These headlights not only look great, but are also highly efficient, featuring an adaptive high beam system that can analyze the road and adjust the headlights to the driving conditions. The rear lights have been darkened for added style.
New parking sensors have been installed along the length of the car, and an option for a roof-mounted camera has been added, providing excellent visibility for the rear of the car even when fully loaded with passengers. The front and rear bumpers have been restyled.
