The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a two-door, two-seater Grand Tourer (GT) sports car, which has been in production since 2013. Based on a shortened XK platform, this sports car features rear-wheel drive and powerful V6 and V8 engines under the hood. This model is available in coupe or convertible body styles.
The F-Type has been on the market for almost a decade and is still an attractive sports car that is easy to handle. This car can confidently compete with competitors such as Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes.
The Jaguar F-Type body has only one generation, but it was updated in 2018 and 2021.
The technical specifications of each car vary depending on the modifications made to the car. The table below shows a summary of the Jaguar F-Type technical specifications.

Jaguar F-Type X152 (2013-2017)
Unlike the norm in the automotive world, the F-Type convertible was introduced before the coupe. We first saw the convertible in 2012 in London, and the coupe in 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Jaguar F-Type two-seater roadster is simple and elegant. You won't mistake it for any other Jaguar, as it has angled vents that have never been used before. Its suspension and double-wishbone rear suspension are made of aluminum to reduce weight. The controls, switches, and central console are driver-oriented.
Meanwhile, the F-Type coupe has a sloping, downward-leaning cabin that creates a dynamic appearance. Unlike the roadster, the F-Type coupe's profile features an additional set of triangular windows mounted behind the B-pillars. Depending on the engine, the smallest Jaguar on the market has two or four exhaust pipes at the rear. The interior features luxurious materials. Sports leather seats and aluminum accents on the door handles, steering wheel, and gear shift lever enhance the sense of sportiness in the cabin.
Under the hood, the F-Type coupe and convertible have the same engines, except for the lighter and more powerful F-Type SVR. The latter version is powered by the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine borrowed from the Jaguar XKR. Under the hood of the coupe and roadster, you'll find a range of engines ranging from 3 to 5 liters in displacement.

Jaguar F-Type X152 facelift (2018–2020)
In 2017, an updated version of the Jaguar F-Type was introduced. The facelifted version features new front headlights with L-shaped daytime running lights inside, new design grilles, a new designer-installed air intake and splitter at the bottom, and improved air intakes on the sides of the lower bumper. LED signal lights were added to the rear, further enhancing the beautiful taillights.
Inside, the 2017 F-Type features light, thin seats with ergonomically optimized shapes that provide more comfort to drivers, and new details in the central console.
Under the hood, the new F-Type has similar engines to the pre-facelift version, with a 2.0L turbocharged engine added to the base model.
Jaguar F-Type X152 facelift (2021–present)
The F-Type was updated again in 2021. The long engine hood maintains its slightly rounded shape, and wider front grilles help better cool the engine. The front headlights are now also LED.
In the updated Jaguar F-Type, a new 12.3-inch screen is added to the instrument panel and another touchscreen is added to the center console. It's easy to use these new features, as drivers simply need to connect their phone to the information and entertainment system - either "Apple CarPlay" or "Android Auto" - and they can use all the latest features.
